About Me

For the majority of my childhood, I grew up playing sports. Whether it was football, soccer or basketball didn’t matter- I would always choose a sport or athletic activity. I stuck with basketball throughout high school, which then carried into my freshman year at Hendrix College. After my freshman year, I moved back to my hometown of Dallas, Texas and began attending the University of North Texas to pursue my passion of journalism. Playing college basketball taught me teamwork, discipline and how to make plays in a fast paced environment. These experiences taught me how adapt quickly, communicate and pay attention to detail. These qualities have aligned with my public relations focus.

Beyond academics and sports, I love being creative. When I need to relax, I enjoy landscape photography and cooking Italian cuisine. I love to attend events around North Texas, particularly sports and art events. These hobbies keep my mind busy, but they also teach me how to communicate in different areas of professionalism. Because of my experiences, I feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

I am an animal lover all around. I have owned mostly dogs growing up, but as an adult I have developed a love for cats. I currently am a cat mom to a tortoiseshell who is all attitude and love. In my youth, I took care of horses for many years, which made me very passionate for animals and how they were treated, especially in horse racing.

All of these details shape me into who I am today- empathetic, humorous, driven and creative. My dad always said that in life you can lead by warning or example; I choose to lead by example in everything I do.
