About Me

As a child, I enjoyed watching Tim Burton films. Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were all major movies of my childhood. Because of these amazing movies, I quickly fell in love with theater arts and the production of movies. So much in fact, that I began dressing up as Emily from Corpse Bride and singing throughout the house, which my parents fully enjoyed. As a high school student, I became very active in the behind-the-scenes of our fall play and musical productions. For two years in a row, I was a stage manager for some of my high school theater’s productions. I stage managed Chemical Imbalance (a comedic spinoff of Jekyll and Hyde), Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, James and The Giant Peach and Cinderella. This was a highlight of my high school years because it taught me that creativity and talent didn’t have to be center stage, it could be behind the scenes too. 

My freshman year of college, I played a full year of college basketball as a combo guard at Hendrix College. While I ended my career short due to an injury, I learned that discipline and communication are major components for being successful, no matter if you’re on or off the court. Working in a fast-paced team environment taught me adaptability at a high level.

I love animals, and I have a two-year-old tortoiseshell cat who is my world. I also have a 13-year-old dachshund-terrier mix. Animals have not only been a gift in my life, but also a lesson in patience. I was raised taking care of horses, specifically those who came from inhumane circumstances, which built my love and care for animal welfare.

My passion for public relations comes from my grandfather who passed away in 2019. He was a public relations genius and worked in New York City for over 25 years. Without him, I wouldn’t be half of who I am professionally and as a person today. 

These factors shape who I am today and my love for the little things in life. In everything I do, I choose to lead with my head high and best foot forward.
